Jefferson County African-American Cultural & Heritage Festival is in it 26th year of producing the annual local celebration. The festival’s focus this year is on the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War 1.
Our mission to preserve the precious, unique experience of African Americans in Jefferson County requires us to have a vision for the future that includes making sure our traditions and stories live on long into the future.

The 26th Jefferson County African- American Cultural and Heritage Festival will be held on August 17 –19, 2018. The festival this year focus on the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War 1. Events will begin Friday with the Gospel Extravaganza and Youth Block Party. Saturday at the noon the Parade will take place in Charles Town. Sunday will begin with an 8am Niagara Movement Pilgrimage at the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park followed by an Ecumenical Service at the Freewill Baptist Church in Harpers Ferry. Various vendor booths will be located to provide anything you could hope to find.
